🥑 Avocado, Mozzarella & Tomato Grilled Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices sourdough bread

  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced

  • 1 large tomato, sliced

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

  • 2 tbsp butter, softened

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Directions:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.

  3. Place two slices butter-side down in the skillet.

  4. Layer mozzarella, avocado, and tomato slices on top.

  5. Season with salt, pepper, and add basil if using.

  6. Top with the remaining bread slices, butter side up.

  7. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese is melty.

    • Tip: Press gently with a spatula to help it crisp and melt evenly.

  8. Remove from heat, let cool briefly, slice, and enjoy!
