Ginger Water (Basic Recipe)
Ingredients

1–2 inches fresh ginger root

2 cups water

Ice (optional)

Honey or lemon (optional, for taste)
Instructions

Wash and peel the ginger.

Slice it thin or grate it slightly.

Bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.

Add the ginger, reduce heat, and simmer for 10–15 minutes.

Turn off heat and let it steep for another 5 minutes.

Strain into a glass.

Serve warm, or let it cool and add ice.
Optional Variations

Lemon Ginger Water: Add fresh lemon juice after straining.

Honey Ginger Water: Stir in 1–2 teaspoons honey while warm.

Sparkling Ginger Water: Let it cool, then top with sparkling water.

Herbal twist: Add a sprig of rosemary or mint while simmering.
