Chocolate Slim Cake (Loaf Pan)

Ingredients

Dry

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

Wet

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup milk (or warm water)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional chocolate topping

  • ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

  • ¼ cup cream or milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease a loaf pan.

  2. In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients.

  3. Add eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth (batter will be slightly thin).

  4. Pour into the loaf pan.

  5. Bake 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  6. Let cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan.


Chocolate Glaze (optional, like in the photo)

  1. Melt chocolate with cream/milk over low heat or microwave.

  2. Pour over the cake and let it set.


Tips

  • For extra moist cake, replace milk with warm coffee.

  • For a lighter texture, sift the dry ingredients.

  • Slice once fully cooled for clean cuts.
