📝 Ingredients

Noodles

  • 12 oz lo mein noodles (or regular spaghetti)

Beef & Veg

  • 1 lb beef (flank steak thinly sliced, or ground beef)

  • 1 medium onion, sliced

  • 1–2 carrots, julienned or thinly sliced

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (for cooking & flavor)

Sauce (double if you like it extra saucy)

  • ½ cup hot water

  • 1 tbsp Better Than Bouillon (beef flavor)

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook Noodles

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Make the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, stir together hot water, beef bouillon paste, soy sauce, and brown sugar until dissolved.

3️⃣ Cook the Beef

  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  • Add a little sesame oil. Cook beef 3–4 minutes until browned (let it sear without constant stirring for best texture).

  • Remove beef from pan and set aside.

4️⃣ Cook Veggies

  • In the same pan, add onion and cook 2–3 minutes until fragrant.

  • Add carrots and cook 2 minutes more.

  • Add broccoli and cook 1–2 minutes until just tender-crisp.

5️⃣ Combine Everything

  • Push vegetables to the side, add garlic, and cook 30–60 seconds (don’t burn).

  • Return beef to the pan, pour in the sauce, and let it bubble for 1–2 minutes.

  • Add noodles, toss well until everything is coated and heated through.

6️⃣ Serve

  • Drizzle with a little extra sesame oil if desired. Serve hot.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Thin-Slice Beef Easily: Chill steak in freezer 15 min before slicing.

  • Veggie Swap: Bell peppers, snap peas, mushrooms, or baby corn work great.

  • Extra Sauce: Double the sauce and save leftovers for stir-fries.

  • Less Sodium: Use low-sodium soy sauce and bouillon.

If you want, I can write a meal-prep version of this so you can have ready-to-heat Beef Lo Mein in under 5 minutes during the week. Would you like me to make that?
