Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup Smoked bacon (diced)
- 2 White onions (diced)
- 1/2 head White cabbage
- 1 teaspoon White sugar
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil (optional)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon Butter

- Add Onion: Add the sliced onions to the pan with the bacon. Cook until the onions are translucent and softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add Cabbage: Add the shredded cabbage to the pan with the bacon and onion. Stir and fry together for about 2-3 minutes.
- Simmer: Pour a cup of water over the cabbage. Add sugar, vegetable butter, and season with salt and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Cover and Cook: Cover the pan and let the mixture simmer until the cabbage is tender, about 25 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Reduce: Once the cabbage is tender, remove the lid and continue cooking until most of the liquid has evaporated, enhancing the flavors and texture.
