Spinach & Cheese Fritters Recipe

Ingredients (8–10 pieces)

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, finely chopped

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or mix)

  • 1 egg

  • 2–3 tbsp all-purpose flour (or oat flour)

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional but recommended)

  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • ½ tsp chili flakes or paprika (optional)

  • Oil or butter for cooking


Method (Pan-Fried)

  1. Prepare spinach

    • Wash, chop finely, and squeeze out excess water.

  2. Mix batter

    • In a bowl combine spinach, cheese, egg, flour, Parmesan, garlic, salt, pepper, and spices.

    • Mix well – batter should be thick, not runny.

  3. Cook

    • Heat a non-stick pan with a little oil.

    • Spoon mixture, flatten into thin rounds.

    • Cook on medium heat 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

  4. Serve hot
