1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened ๐ง
ยฝ cup powdered sugar ๐
1 tsp vanilla extract ๐ผ
2 cups all-purpose flour ๐พ
ยผ tsp salt ๐ง
ยฝ cup dried cranberries, chopped ๐
ยฝ cup pistachios, shelled & chopped ๐ฐ
Optional: 1 tsp orange zest ๐ (adds a Mediterranean vibe!)

Cream butter & sugar
In a bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until light and smooth ๐
Add flavor
Mix in vanilla (and orange zest if using) ๐ผ๐
Dry ingredients
Gradually stir in flour and salt until a soft dough forms ๐พ
Fold in goodies
Gently mix in cranberries and pistachios ๐๐ฐ
Shape the dough
Form into a log (or press into a round disk), wrap in plastic, and chill for 1 hour โ๏ธ
Slice & bake
Preheat oven to 325ยฐF (165ยฐC) ๐ฅ
Slice dough into ยฝ-inch rounds
Place on lined baking sheet
Bake
Bake for 15โ18 minutes, until edges are lightly golden ๐
