Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed

  • 1 lb spaghetti (adjust based on servings)

  • 6–8 garlic cloves, minced (adjust to taste)

  • ¼ cup butter

  • 3 drizzles olive oil (about 2 tbsp total)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • ¼–½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Salt, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (for serving, optional)

👩‍🍳 Directions

  1. Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water, and set aside.

  2. Cook the Shrimp
In a large skillet over medium heat, drizzle olive oil and melt the butter.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t burn it).
Add shrimp, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.

  3. Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, add another drizzle of olive oil if needed. Toss in the cooked spaghetti, adding a splash of the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
Return shrimp to the skillet, tossing everything together so the pasta is coated with the garlicky butter sauce.

  4. Serve
Garnish with chopped parsley and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Serve immediately with garlic bread or a green salad.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Add a splash of white wine or lemon juice for a bright, restaurant-style flavor.

  • Mix in sautéed spinach, cherry tomatoes, or mushrooms for extra texture and color.

  • For a creamy twist, stir in ¼ cup heavy cream or cream cheese right before tossing the pasta.
