1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
2. Make the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring. Mix until fully combined and glossy.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined — do not overmix.
3. Assemble
Pour half of the red velvet batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Place Oreo cookies in a single layer on top (4 rows of 4).
Spread the remaining batter evenly over the Oreos, covering them completely.
4. Bake
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).
Cool completely before slicing.
5. Serve
Drizzle with melted white chocolate or a cream cheese glaze for extra indulgence. Slice into squares and enjoy the gooey, layered goodness!
