Ginger Water Recipe
Ingredients

1–2 inches fresh ginger root

2–3 cups water
-
½ lemon (optional)
-
Honey or sugar (optional, to taste)

Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions

Prepare the ginger
Wash the ginger well. Peel it (optional) and slice or grate it. -
Boil
Add the ginger to water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes (longer = stronger flavor). -
Strain
Remove from heat and strain out the ginger pieces. -
Flavor (optional)
Add lemon juice and a little honey or sugar if you like. -
Serve

Drink warm, or
-
Let it cool, add ice and mint leaves for a refreshing cold drink.
