🛒 Ingredients

  • 8 slices of white bread (crusts removed)

  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

  • ½ cup strawberry jam (or fresh mashed strawberries)

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp milk

  • ½ cup sugar (for coating)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

  • Oil for frying

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make the Filling

In a bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Spread a layer of cream cheese mixture and strawberry jam on one slice of bread.
Top with another slice and press edges gently to seal.

2. Prepare the Coating

In a small bowl, whisk together egg and milk.
In another bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon for rolling later.

3. Fry the Sandwiches

Heat about ½ inch of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Dip each sandwich quickly into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
Fry 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

4. Coat & Serve

Remove from oil and immediately roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
