Cookie Dough Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients:
For the cookie dough:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
For the ice cream base:
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Make the edible cookie dough:
  • In a bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add milk and vanilla extract and mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour and salt together.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  • Stir in mini chocolate chips.
  • Cover and refrigerate the dough while you prepare the ice cream base.
Prepare the ice cream base:
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until sugar is dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Combine:
  • Break the cookie dough into small chunks.
  • During the last 5 minutes of churning, add cookie dough chunks to the ice cream maker.
  • Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 2-4 hours until firm.
